Sukkot – Tents
Living in Joy Under God

Deuteronomy 16

16 Three times a year all your men must appear before the Lord your God at the place he will choose: at the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks and the Festival of Tabernacles. No one should appear before the Lord empty-handed: 17 Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.

While there are more holidays celebrated by Jewish communities, my work here is focused on Shalosh Regalim. Shalosh Regalim is composed of three required festivals; Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles/Booths.

I see these three festivals fitting into two arcs. The “Salvation Arc” moves from physical salvation, as seen in Passover to spiritual salvation, as seen in Pentecost. The second arc is the “Living in Joy Under God Arc” as seen in Sukkot, Booths.”
