When I study any book in the Bible, I usually review relevant aspects including words. In Ecclesiastes, Hebel and Ruach are the main words which relate to vanity , but there are a few others.

Ecclesiastes 12:6 HEB: הַגַּלְגַּ֖ל אֶל־ הַבּֽוֹר׃ NAS: and the wheel at the cistern is crushed;

חָסֵר    khaw-sare’   chaser: to lack, need, be lacking, decrease

Ecclesiastes 4:8 HEB: אֲנִ֣י עָמֵ֗ל וּמְחַסֵּ֤ר אֶת־ נַפְשִׁי֙ NAS: am I laboring and depriving myself

Ecclesiastes 9:8 HEB: רֹאשְׁךָ֥ אַל־ יֶחְסָֽר׃ NAS: and let not oil be lacking on your head.

Ecclesiastes 12:6 HEB: הַזָּהָ֑ב וְתִשָּׁ֤בֶר כַּד֙ עַל־ הַמַּבּ֔וּעַ NAS: is crushed, the pitcher by the well
