Freedom and Constraint: Self and Community
“But he can’t be the kind of person who explains himself to other people. That would weaken him.”

Simone Weil (1909-1943) was educated at the Lycée Henri IV, and then École Normale Supérieure. Simone was proficient in greek and read the new Testament in Greek. In studying the Bhagavad Gita she learned Sanskrit. The topics Simone wrote about that have my attention are her works on love, her works on affliction, her works on the needs of the soul.
